You'll be interested to know they are even trying to get the humble Wattle tree classified as been a "Pest species" yet it's an Australian National emblem, used for furniture, stain and provides shade from sun, a home for birds and insects. ![]() You may have noticed they are trying and have been doing that in pockets of Australia particularly with our beloved Exotic species including delightful flowers and trees. Very short sighted as the species they claim are predators are merely introduced Living Creatures that are part of the world's ecological systems. OMIGoodness! This took FOUR email exchanges (and now we both know a LOT about pastrami and there is something nearly, if not identical, in Hungary) before he finally asked me, "So why do you sign off your email with Pastrami?" of course it's some sort of lunch-meat, but if he asked the question he must want to know for whatever reason, right? Not anything to do with free-flying birds, but he's a really nice guy and so I'm trying to help him out. He responded, "What is Pastrami?" ? I took the question honestly and respectfully, Googled Pastrami. ![]() What was actually sent was, "Pastrami, Kim" Death by spell-check. I used the salutation, "Postravi, Kim" to sign off. Anyway, I'm using voice recognition, did a little spell-check to be safe, and got a little quick with the SEND key before I'd really proof-read my message. OK, I realize I might be taking this topic off a bit (translation>voice recognition), but I have a funny story for you linguists, years ago I was corresponding with someone in Hungary (we were both free-flight bird trainers). ![]()
